The story of Soundtrack really starts with a simple, frustrating question: 'Have you ever seen them live?' As someone who loves live music, I’ve spent countless nights packing into local venues at every chance I could get. But somewhere along the line, my memory reached max capacity. All those amazing gigs started blurring together. When friends would ask if I’d seen a specific band, my go-to response became, 'I think so... it sounds familiar!' I hated that. I wanted to remember the artists, the dark venues, the dates, and the people I saw them with. I went searching for an app to serve as my personal concert journal. I wanted something simple, private, and resilient enough to actually work in those dive bars where the cell signal drops to zero. Realizing the app I wanted didn't exist, I decided to lean on my background as a front-end web developer and build it myself. Soundtrack is exactly the app I was looking for: a completely private, offline-first digital journal for your live music life. You can log every show, attach your photos, and easily filter through your history to remember exactly who you saw and when. I built it to solve my own problem, but I hope it helps you relive your favorite musical memories, too.
