The Story of Shoplix: Shared Shopping List

6 months ago, my wife and I were running our shopping through Telegram. She'd send what we needed, I'd scroll up in the chat trying to find it in the store. The order made no sense either: "tomatoes, bread, milk, cucumbers". So I kept walking back to the vegetable aisle. Another thing that kept happening: we'd both stop by the store on the way home from work, and both pick up bread. Or milk. Or both. The chat said "we need bread", neither of us knew the other had already grabbed it. First I looked at what's out there. Listonic: aggressive ads, premium mostly just removed them. AnyList: felt complicated, interface didn't click. Bring: too colorful, didn't feel practical. None of them were bad. Just didn't pull me in, and a few things I wanted weren't there So I built Shoplix. Two list types: Household stays clean (bought items leave the active view), Event keeps a "bought" section for gatherings: birthday, holiday meal, friends coming over. Anyone on the list can claim an item, so two people don't come home with bread.
