IBAN Check started around 2013, when I was a software developer at a financial institution and was just taking my first steps with Android. I wanted to help the front desk validate IBANs and BIC/SWIFT codes quickly on the go, without relying on manual checks or a desktop tool. The app solves a simple but important problem: reducing payment mistakes by instantly checking whether an IBAN or BIC is valid. It can validate IBANs, check BIC/SWIFT codes, compare whether both belong to the same country, and let users copy or share the result. It is a small utility born from real financial workflow needs.
