The Story of GroceryBudget: Shopping List
I built GroceryBudget because I kept walking out of the grocery store over budget. Every single trip. I'd go in thinking "I'll spend $60" and come out at $85. Mental math doesn't work when you're comparing brands, grabbing extras, and trying to remember what's already in the cart.
The problem is simple: you don't know what you're spending until you hit the register. By then it's too late.
GroceryBudget shows you a live budget bar as you add items to your cart. You set a number before you shop, add items as you go, and the bar fills up in real time. Green, yellow, red. You know exactly where you stand before checkout, not after.
It also remembers what you paid for every item at every store, so after a few trips it auto-suggests prices and you can compare which store is actually cheaper for the stuff you buy.
